I am thirty two. Russian American software engineer who works on AI agent systems and day trade bitcoin, this allows me to live in Northern California and not rely on a city for job/work/money.

I was born in Brooklyn right after my parents got to America from Russia. From the start I grew up with Russian traditions at home and American traditions from school. That mix created a lot of questions in me about how I should live. My family later went back to St. Petersburg but the two cultures stayed in me. It made relationships harder because the expectations felt so different from each other. In the end those questions pushed me to create a life that feels true to me instead of trying to fit into one side or the other.

The best years were when I was ten to eighteen and we lived in a forest in New Jersey. Those woods meant freedom and real happiness to me. Everything was simple and good. Then at eighteen my father moved us to Miami. That time was full of parties and distractions. I wasted money and energy on things that did not matter. People around me turned out temporary. I learned what a life in the city actually costs. I got through it and I am glad for the lessons because they showed me what I do not want.

When I turned twenty nine I decided to leave and start over. I moved up to the mountains in North Idaho. It was a long and hard process. There was a lot of struggle and a lot of time alone working on myself. That time made me stronger and clearer about what I need. After that I came to the forests of Northern California for the big mountains, tall trees and open space.

From my place I can walk five minutes and buy groceries, coffee and restaurants are across the street. There are tons of stores, shopping and local businesses here while also being a quiet mountain town.
My work is remote so I can live where I want and I make very good money. That money gives me freedom but I choose a meaningful life and I have no interest in buying Rolex's, luxuries or anything in that realm. Money is just a tool. I show up as myself rather than as someone with things to display.

Everyday I wake up at 4AM, make coffee, pray and meditate. After, I work until about 10:00AM, then I work in the garden, I read, take photos, visit neighbors and friends, take a walk into town and connect with the community. I also do cold water plunges, go hiking and camping. I take road trips and visit hot springs. These things are how I stay connected to what feels real. Modern life often replaces the basic good parts of living with speed and convenience. Out here I feel happy and thankful most days. That is important to me. I spent enough time in cities that always felt rushed and heavy. I need something more steady and genuine.

I put in a lot of work on myself over the years. The result is I am not full of myself. I do not care about impressing people I do not know. I am patient. I almost never get mad. I try to help the people around me.

I want a real connection with someone. The kind where we see each other clearly and choose each other without pretending.

I would like to have kids someday. I will care about you for the person you are. There is no need to hold back.
