asked questions about How do I submit a letter for translation?If you have one letter to translate - Pay-Per-Letter option 1. Click on "home" from the top panel, scroll down to use the "Upload text for translation" link. 2. Copy and paste the text of your letter in the window provided. The program will automatically calculate the number of characters. (If you upload the text as a file, we cannot calculate the number of characters in the letter. In this case the program will count each page as 3000 characters.) 3. Select the Language of translation. Currently we provide translation from English to Russian and Ukrainian and from Ukrainian and Russian to English. 4. Select Translation option (Creative or Adequate translation). 5. Your letter will be translated within 3 business days. You will find the translated letter in "My Translations" on your homepage and of course the letter will also be sent to your email address attached in Word File. Why do I need to translate my letters?Sometimes it is vital that she understands you correctly, and there are no misunderstandings between you two. We recommend to translate (at least!) your first letter to a woman because Russian ladies struggle with reading English letters even if they know the language fairly well. It will ensure she will read your letter, and understand everything you were intending to tell her. Translate also all letters where you have something important to say. What does it mean - "basic", "fair", "good", "fluent" (indication of language abilities on lady's personal pages)?Women estimate their knowledge themselves, therefore the actual level may vary. We give ladies the following guidance in estimating their language abilities:
If lady's knowledge of the language is lower than good or fluent, it is wise to translate your letters to ensure correct understanding.
