We asked our male members, why they are looking for Russian women or why they seek a woman in Russia, Ukraine or Eastern Europe. (We also asked Russian women why they seek husbands abroad) Interestingly enough, women sent many times more answers than men; which led us thinking that maybe women are more actively searching for a partner than men? That's a hypothesis that will need more research and statistical data!)) So, here are the answers from real western men to our survey 'why western men seek Russian women':
The answer to why I seek a foreign/Russian bride is quite simple. I am a man of 50 years of age and remember in my childhood how important the family unit was. I am sad to say, that the traditional family in the USA is fragmented. I do not mean by traditional that the woman is lesser partner, but that each of the spouses have different talents and the two combine as compliments to the other. My weakness is her strength and vice versa. I find that all the Russian women, regardless of any other individual differences, all value the family unit. It is a time proven model of success for the husband and wife, and the childern prosper in such a "cozy" home as well.
For me it isn't that she is from Russia
or some other European country. It has to do with what I want out of a
life partner and where I can find her. I value an educated woman who
places the family above her career. It is becoming increasing more
difficult to find an American woman in my age group that values family.
I feel Russian and European women have been spending much of their lives
preparing themselves to be a life partner for a good man. But due to
demographics and cultural habits there are very few worthy men for them
to choose from.
I should mention that I am not from the United States, but from Germany. I live in the Capital Berlin. So my answer is a little bit realted to the difference between German women and women from Eastern Europe. I am not looking especially for a Russian women, it can be a woman from Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia or Germany. In my opinion, women in Germany have the term “equal rights for men and women in all parts of social life” completely misunderstood and changed into “There should be no difference between men's and women's behaviour” But this leads to a lack of attraction to the opposite gender. For example, women of my age (49) tend to dress like workers, especially as soon as they have children, not very feminine. Russian woman of any age dresses like a real woman. You can see this even by looking at photos on German and Russian dating websites. Russian women put their best photos on a dating website, German women use photos made by their cell phone. German women expect from their men to care for the children 50% (I am willing to do this), but they don’t value if the man pays for them in a restaurant to show that he appreciates the woman (not because she cannot afford it). I know some Russian women who are living here in Berlin (unfortunately they are happily married) and I was in an email correspondece with some Ukrainian women and in my opinion all of them are very well educated, have good manners and high family values. More than German women, Russian women try to make daily life more convenient with nice small surprises (a tasty dinner, a little change in the apartment (I should emphasize “little”, I don’t like “big” changes in the apartment, lol J) As a last point I want to mention that I am not looking espcially for a Russian or Ukrainian woman, but for a woman for marriage. If I can find her in my neighbourhood, it will be ok and I will delete my profile. I entered Elenas Models because there are too many unserious dating sites in Germany. People in Germany use dating sites to make fun and unserious jokes. There are also a lot of international dating websites with lots of scammers, so I think Elenas Models is one of the most serious dating web-sites. Thank you.
Here’s the thing…in America, the idea of a wife who takes care of the home, children, cooks and may choose to work is considered an insult to feminine equality. The Russian ladies may not believe it, but most American men are convinced they are lucky to have a wife or girlfriend, and to do anything to keep her - even if she isn't attractive, loyal or devoted. In fact, for all the reasons East European women describe in looking elsewhere for a man, it is the complete opposite in the United States. Here the men outnumber the women, and the women are spoiled as a result. I can't say all the women are this way, but the ones that are as attractive as the average Russian speaking girl - certainly are. It's common when meeting a woman in the US to quickly explain what you do for a living, and how much you make. As if this decides suitability before any other virtue is examined. So, the idea of finding a well-educated woman, who is tender, affectionate and family oriented sounds like a dream come true. Then when I see how beautiful East European women are - there is no way you can ever think of anything less for a wonderful mate. Not only because of their attractive looks, but knowing that a real woman is inside.
Being a widowed male and after a year since my wife died, I began to look at online dating services and accidentally stumbled upon Elena's Models. After I began reading some reviews, I decided to give your agency a try. I had no particular interest when I first started looking, but the more I read about Russian women, their interests and education and employment, I became quite fascinated by what I was seeing. I know most of these contacts work hard and do not earn much money. I am not a rich man myself, but maybe something will come of it. I find the possibility of meeting someone from a different country and a different culture exciting. In my correspondence I have not only learned more about Russia and the Ukraine, but find the possibility of someday meeting that one person who would be my wife. Even with the cultural differences, I find that Russian women in many ways are not that much different, all of us basically looking for a permanent relationship. I also find that meeting someone with a somewhat different background opens my mind to new ideas and possibilities making me feel younger than I really am. I'm not sure what else to say except "thank you" to Elena's Models internet site for the chance to meet some of these lovely women.
It's not for so obvious reasons like because they are some of the most beautifull women in the world. For me it's more because in my country most of women don't know anymore what the word "family" means. For most of the people love dosn' t exist anymore. Women are looking for the richest guy and don't care about happyness. So here we learn to know the person first and if you are not interesting, you have almost no chance. When I got married 27 years ago for me it was forever. Then about 10 years ago I began to develop a problem related to my balance which I found out later was related to a job that I had as a young man. My wife simply couldn't deal with the fact that I was not physically the same as when we were married. I found out September 2010 that my wife was "trading me in" (getting a divorce) and I was devastasted. For me love and marriage is a committment that cannot be broken. I am convinced that I am "wired differently" than most American men. I have a deep need to love and be loved. Romance is so important to me. I had to find someone that I could cherish and adore. I began to read everything I could find about Ukraine and Ukrainian women. I found I was in love with the values and beliefs that many Ukrainian women have. Love and family are the most important aspects of life. There is a beloved out there for me (I will find you my love). I know I have a soulmate waiting for me. I now have a sense of destiny. Sometimes I browse thru the profiles of women on ElenasModels with no other purpose in mind other than to soak up their beauty and to read the profiles of hope and of love. It inspires me to move on towards finding "the one" my beloved. In America many people think I am crazy to think the way I do about love. Materialism and wealth seems to be the most important things in life to many Americans. I, on the other hand, want to find a woman whose eyes I can look into and touch her very soul. I am convinced I will find this wonderful woman in Ukraine somewhere. I will not stop until I find my love. That is why I'm seeking a Ukrainian woman.
Here is my short story of what I like about a Russian woman. Perhaps you hear this often but I repeat my version here: "If you have never traveled with a Russian woman, you would be amazed at how they are able to manage their wardrobe. While some women travel with trunks that will break your back, she brings the smallest and lightest travel bag that you could imagine. Not even a suitcase, and somehow she manages to pull out a different outfit each day - and looks stunning every time! I have dated several very nice ladies in the US, so I don't want to say that all of them are all spoiled, selfish and hard to please. That would not be fair or truthful. But what I have found lacking is a sense of loyalty. I think two people have to be unconditionally loyal and devoted to each other in a relationship. I think that women have a more sensitive and delicate nature and it is the man's responsibility to guard and protect that beautiful nature. Many years ago, just after the Berlin Wall came down and relations between South Africa and Russia were restored, I was invited for tea by the wife of a senior Russian diplomat in Johannesburg. At the time I worked in television, and she wanted to propose story ideas for the show to improve South Africans’ negative perceptions about Russia. We became friends and she soon talked freely about her thoughts about life, politics, and South Africans. She also told me about the plight of young Russian women who desperately wanted to get out of their country because of the prevailing conditions at the time. Her story about one particular woman was quite shocking. This young woman accepted a marriage proposal from a man in Kenya. But when she arrived there, she found out that she was to be the man’s fourth wife, and that she would be not much more than a slave to him and his other three wives! So yes, internet dating is fraught with danger. For both parties. Have you perhaps seen the movies “Birthday Girl” with Nicole Kidman, Ben Chapman and Vincent Cassel , or “A Foreign Affair” with Tim Blake Nelson and David Arquette? I certainly do not want to “rescue” a Russian woman who’ll then be “forever grateful to me and treat me like a king, even though I was too fat, ugly and poor to find a decent woman in my own country,” as one of the lines in “Birthday Girl” goes. I am considering Russian women because I admire them for their brains, beauty and ability to overcome hardships. Young Inna from Moscow pointed out to me that the playing field has changed. She loves her life, career and friends in Moscow and there’s no reason for her to give any of it up and move abroad. Moscow and St Petersburg have become affluent and almost European in character. The first experience I had with a Russian woman was a scam. A letter and picture of this supposedly Russian girl in trouble showed up in my inbox one day. I wondered why anyone would fall for this? What's so special about Russian women? I decided to learn more about Russian women. One of the reasons I am looking for a Russian lady, is simply put their morals and values are much higher then some western ladies. They look after themselves a great deal better then some western ladies. And they appreciate family life more then some western ladies do, they seem to work at a problem or issue, rather then to say "to difficult, don't want to talk about it", or if it is in relation to a marriage they try to work on the problem, rather then just walk out and destroy a family unit. Not saying that sometimes they don't walk out, but it appears only after they try to work at it.
I’m on this site mostly because I feel more appreciated by Russian women than by American women. I have sufficient dating opportunities locally, but given what I've seen, I’m thinking that we have a better chance of happily enjoying life together. What Russian women want seems more realistic and in-line with what I’m interested in. I doesn't hurt that many ladies on the site are quite beautiful and seem well educated with a broad range of interests.
I am an American and I am looking for a Russian/Ukrainian woman because they have very similar morals and they put family first. I believe family is important, the most important aspect of life. American women are too busy with their careers and are not interested in family. If you marry, they are more dedicated to their work than their family. I also see American women as spoiled and marry with the thoughts of "well if it doesn't work, then I can divorce." I believe with all the digression away
from tradition and manners in most of the western world, it is a breath
of fresh air to speak with a considerate, respectful, loving, kind and
gentle woman, who's need for a loving and harmonious relationship is
genuine. It is common knowledge that you will get all of these very
special attributes, and a lot more from a Russian lady! The latter is
indeed a rare and precious quality in todays "modern society"
and I believe that a large proportion of the male species seek out women
of such favourable qualities because "they are real" and not
the generally trashy, foul mouthed group of women that one meets on
average. Let's be fair and understand that my thoughts are a
generalisation of the majority, and you will get good and bad in every
walk of life, both male and female. Based on this way of fair thinking
and the ratio's of other women to what I view as being the majority, and
there for the more dangerous to persue when one is looking for genuine
love, the Russian ladies stand head and shoulders above the rest! In short, Russian woman are the best, if one is lucky enough to have a choice. My personal feeling is that if I were
honored enough to make the aquaintance of said Russian lady, I would
fully expect to be partnered with a beautiful angel from heaven, that
has come down to love me, pamper me, and look after me for the rest of
our lives together, which, in turn, would make it a pleasure for me to

To me, the advantages of dating/marrying an Eastern European woman are many: more girls with both beauty and brains, more girls who enjoy the arts, etc. I discovered another advantage through trial and error, however, and it is even more important to me. Eastern Europe girls are less afraid to communicate. If they are interested, they will tell you. If they are not, they will tell you. If they have a worry, a problem, or a complaint, they will tell you. Their social openess and courage prevents a great many misunderstandings that men have all the time with Americanski girls. Just read your message about guys abroad wanting Russian women. Well this Aussie guy is very happy with Russian women because they are beautiful and take care of them selves,workout at the gym, swimming or some activity to stay in shape. They always try to present them self with nice clothes hair and makeup good shoes, they have pride in them self. The girls study and have careers not just jobs. The women profess to want love not hinting of a meal ticket or suggestion of citizenship. If this is their motive they disguise it well. I am single and have been for many many years I have not had any luck to find a woman. I am on a lot of sites talking with women all over the world and find the Russian women the most friendly and promising for me to find someone. From what I read in the responses of Russian women looking for husbands in foreign countries, and looking at the reasons why I started to look abroad for a partner, one could say there is a role reversal. In Russia, the men seem to be arrogant, here it's the women. I live part of the year in Europe, part in the USA. The girls are different in these two cultures, but the ones I met are on average equally unsuitable. In Europe many girls have a decent education, but they think they are too good for work. They want to make a career, mostly in management where they hand out orders and then talk a lot about what they "did do today". They largely want to find a guy who's higher up on the career ladder, drives a big car, and brings home a big salary, such that they won't have to work: they want a cleaning lady, a nanny for the baby, and then complain if the husband is at work too much trying to earn enough to satisfy all these material desires, and with some "luck" they'll have a lover on the side, making up for "the lack of attention" from their husband. In the US, the emancipation of women
led to them not learning the traditional women skills, while at the same
time not learning any or many of the traditional men's skills.
Conversely, most men still know and learn their traditional skills, but
most men know now how to cook, clean, etc. better than most women. So
emancipation lead to growth for men, and regression for women. A large
group have a pretty bad education, but they can tell you the price of
just about any handbag another girl carries. They may have a college
degree despite all the drinking and partying they did during school, and
they got that not because they were interested in what they studied, but
because they figure they get a better paying job. They think all they
need to know to succeed in life is to know how to look pretty. I want a woman who's still comfortable
being a woman, who is educated, pretty, wants to work with me as a team,
and doesn't mind being 10-20 years younger than me. I'm not looking for
a maid or a boss, but for a partner; and since I'm reasonably well

It is difficult to generalize, as nothing is ever TOTALLY one way or another, but (in general) American women have lost their sense of self-worth. The obesity epidemic has created a situation where severely overweight women see themselves as having normal body types. Maybe they are right; this is now "normal" in America!! Honestly; go to any website with profiles of predominantly American women and not only are practically all of them fat, these overweight women list in their profile that they are "normal" or "about average". The morbidly obese list their body type as "a few extra pounds". Russian women care about how they look. All you have to do is view profiles in Elena's Models website, there are page after page of beautiful women. Is this beauty due to "race" or other special ethnic issue? I don't think so. If ANY of the beautiful Russian women let themselves go and ate uncontrollably, they would be just as unappealing as the American ones. To me, the choice as a single American male is simple: I will find my woman among those that still value how they look as something important.
