Opening letters is FREE for Platinum members, and opening 50 mails is included with Gold membership. Silver members can open mails by paying for each individual response or pre-paying several responses in advance. If you are a member of the Weekly Ladies Catalog, you can open responses from women in the Catalog for free, but to open responses from other women, you should either acquire Gold or Platinum membership, or pay separately for each response. Also, if you are a Gold member, and received a mail from a woman in the Weekly Ladies Catalog, you need to be a subscriber to the Catalog to open it, or you can wait until her profile is out of the Catalog and then answer her.
When you send 'Expression of Interest', the lady receives a notification to her direct email address that there is somebody interested in her. She can click on the link in this message and view your profile. The lady can also see your 'Expression of Interest' when she logs into her account. Answering 'Expression of Interest' is free for women. Once she viewed your profile, she should answer whether she is interested in hearing from you. Once a lady answered your 'Expression of Interest', you will receive an email notification. The answer will be "Interested" or "Not interested". "Expression of Interest" rate reflects what percentage of her mail the lady returns. It does not, however, show if the lady answered positively or negatively to the "Expressions of Interest". Most women seek a special person, not just anybody, so they are very selective. If a lady's response rate is 100%, it only means she returned all enquiries she received, i.e. this lady answers her mail. If a lady's response rate is 0%, it means she does not check her mails or have not had a chance to check them yet. For example, if a lady received 10 "Expressions of Interest" and answered 4 of them (either positively or negatively), her response rate will be 40%. Usually "Expression of Interest" rate will be lower for new ladies because they have just started their search, and if she received 5 enquiries yesterday and returned them, and she received 5 new enquiries today and have not returned them yet, her response rate will be only 50%. For the ladies that are longer on the website, if she received 95 enquiries before and returned them, and she received 5 new enquiries today, her response rate will be 95%.
"Active within" means the last time the woman logged into our website. The woman can still be available and searching even though she does not log into the website but it means she does not check her Inbox on the site, and you will be better off contacting her at her direct email address or phone number, if available (sometimes women stop checking the website if no one is writing to them). Of course this can also mean she is no longer interested in new letters. You must take this risk in consideration if you decide to contact a woman who is inactive on the website.
